Does solar energy produced by a home really go out to the grid when the system is producing more than what a home uses?

Does solar energy produced by a home really go out to the grid when the system is producing more than what a home uses? If yes, then the price they get is good enough?

Yes, it does. It will reflect on your quarterly energy bill, check the energy bill after installing solar power system and you will see that credits there.

Price depends on specific retailer that you are signed with and price too varies. The price is some where from 11 cents to 20 cents or even way more than that.
