I see still many people that the major portion of the people not using solar energy. So, if solar power is so cheap, why aren't there more people abandoning the power grid?

I guess in Australia, its because due to some seasonal businesses who just gets into business then get away with some quick bucks offering faulty installation by nonprofessionals and low grade product brands which are not even approved by cec. And because of that those customers don't make any savings on their energy bill. So one unhappy customer makes another 10 people be over cautious about that specific product.
And that is why, till now only 30% Australian's are hooked with solar.
